The Biggest Bird I Have Ever Seen
The biggest bird I have ever seen is floating above my head today.
Gliding in a sideways ease, riding the wind, gentling my thoughts.
A hawk? Possibly. An eagle? Unsure.
Whatever it is, it is more than enough.
My eyes watch her travel, gracefully, effortlessly, easily.
She is a bird in her glory, letting the wind determine her path.
Gliding sweetly, in a relaxed way.
She seems unconcerned with worldly things.
I relax into my yard chair, watching her, taking her lead,
Sighing deeply, intrigued that I am being soul-watched by
the biggest bird I have ever seen.
