The Best
What time is it?
5:00 O’clock.
That is the answer my son will give,
Every… time… you… ask…
I don’t know why or where he learned it.
He knows no other time.
Life begins and ends exactly at that moment,
and it is really…just fine.
He has a specific reference for everything.
From where we go to what we do, like the zoo.
That is a favorite place indeed.
We walk and talk the same words again, and again.
But his voice is stronger and that is a win.
Write the names of all the animals and draw all their faces,
Big and small, every creature we come to see.
That includes the hippo the magpie and the bee.
My heart is happy and free, being with my son.
5:00 O’clock is the best time of all… for fun.
