The Beauty of Solitude
The calm lake kissed my thoughts
With reflections in the water’s mirror
The call of the Loon in the distance
Is heard from the water’s edge
Oh, the beauty of solitude!
Where the fresh air cleanses the mind
Thoughts untangle in quietness
There is no-one to be seen
A place with no hurry, just relaxation
Cloud formations float across the open sky
Oh, the beauty of solitude!
High and low, outside and within
At a distance and close by
Where a moment makes sense of everything
And life is a gift, solitude slowly unwraps
