The Beauty of Sadness Prevails
I tried to make you stay away from me,
release you with remorse and say goodbye-
for if you left at least you would be free,
my love for you I’d stand there and deny.
Because I crave your tender hands at night
and know my sorrow pierced you like a nail,
is why you should reprieve yourself from plight-
for I am but a woman who is frail.
Remember when we vowed to hold assures?
I promised sunsets vibrant as our Lord.
But this disease my mind begot obscures,
and now the ugly cannot be ignored.
So madness seized our love without regret-
and sadness wearing beaut I shan’t forget.
