My perfect day is bleeding in the sky,
as an evening gust takes my hair with a sigh;
frogs sing, and birds in circled flight cry.
I must stop to watch the sweet changing hues,
rose, lilac purple and the swirling of blues;
oh, such beautiful and heavenly views.
Now, red and yellow mingle in a haze,
the sky is unfurling a colorful blaze;
I could just stand here forever and gaze.
Slowly, that bright golden sphere is sinking,
falling, fading- the horizon drinking;
dusk has captured my world, I am thinking.
I watch as the sweet stars glide into place,
then, orange moon has settled in it's space;
and my perfect day is gone without a trace.
