I am so very blessed, just to have been born. From my Mother’s womb, I could have been so very easily shorn. But like all poets here, our Mothers gave us life! We all caused them both great joy and no doubt, some strife! We did not come from a daisy, nor a rainbow, neither a stone. But from parents, their very blood, flesh and bone. This is a salute to all mothers, for our very existence . It’s my gratitude for my birth, that fills me with joy and confidence! Thank you, Mom, for my body and God filled soul. To one day be reunited in heaven with you, is my cherished goal! 4/21/2023

Tom! We both have soft spots.))) I am glad that you had an and credible mother. And also thank you I write a lot about not wanting to be talent. I just want to be a better writer. I do not want to be a winner. So you won’t find me any contest just the way I am and it’s OK for other people to be in them. Thank you for FAVING. my poetry runs the gamut . I will be looking you up later today, if memory serves. I like men that are sensitive and soft like velvet in their hearts.please have a sparkling day….Pangie. PS. I sense a humble and grateful spirit in you, And glad you read some of my older poetry. Pangie

Splendid verse, Pangie! We owe so much to our Moms. I still think of my Mom and love her so much - she (and my Dad) struggled to raise 5 kids during the Great Depression and I wonder if I ever gave her thanks for that. Bob H

Thank you. Your comment tells much about you. I know you for five years here, your parents did a great job, with you. I don’t wonder if I thanked Mom enough,I took care of her for eight years, never a day without her. I washer daughter, nurse and companion. I still feel like an orphan without her. Your Mom knows you loved her, Robert and proud of her grandchildren, you raised so well.. Thank you.Pangie

Belle, thank you for saying it is exquisite. It is really how I feel a friend in the UK became a grandfather yesterday, how lucky for her, to be born into a family of humble, well known poets. Her birth, inspired this poem. Yes, thanks to all Mothers, bless them…Pangie
