provides a creative outlet
for expressing feelings of anxiety,
helping us visualize
process our worries
I also find poetry
therapy as well
I write and then recite it back to myself….
shall there be fingers snapping
at the end of this recital?
I just must wait and see
There is this,
it executes not any lines
or clears up at any time
its streams from deep in my throat
something that resembles me
yet it bruise’s, black and blue
it sleeps stark
against my neck
pounds like a stricken drum
if i’m the moon, you
are the dark side of the moon
listening in, peering,
a piercing feme
fierce and violent
an arduous lifestyle?
I have not led
I see a road and sky ahead
in the corner out yonder
still I ponder
my voice has wedeled down to just a whisper
not to wake it
so afraid,
so tired,
two peas in a pod
tumor growing neath the sod
and so, I go out on a ledge
walk on eggshells
slowly not to awaken
