I lost a beloved friend not long ago,
she took a big piece of my heart with her;
leaving on a day full of new white snow,
she liked my written words on pages white;
reading with her soft voice- was my delight.
Sometimes, I think it is her in a blur;
I have an angel who will always glow.
We both loved birds- through them she says hello,
and each time a bird sings my heart does stir;
this special angel is mine while below,
below Heaven- and beside me each night;
beside me always with each word I write.
I wonder how often angels occur?
Mine comes to me with all the birds that flow.
