The Age Wall
My ideas were delightful if I do say so myself
And I do.
I had so many, it was crazy.
I was throwing them out in a haphazard way.
Not being loud, but being funny
My childlike side in full force.
They ignored me
Like I was not there
Suddenly I realized there is now a wall
It has nothing to do with me personally
It is not an eye roll yet
But it is built of brick
And I am no longer taken seriously.
The bricks of my age
have cemented my new fate
Someone else suggests one of my ideas
She is young and cute
It is a great idea! They squeal.
None of them realizing I had spoken.
