That Sweet Touch
Make my life a little sweeter,
You know I don't like spice,
If you sprinkle some more sugar,
My life would taste so nice;
Wish that bitter taste won't linger
After disappointment,
Just a little bit of sugar
Should act like an ointment;
When my temper gets a trigger,
The result is so hot,
Just a little bit of sugar
Will save me a tight spot;
Painful days I lose my swagger
And feel so sad and sour,
Just a little bit of sugar
Would make me no more dour;
Why do you add to the rigour?
I'm not asking for much,
Joyful moments that I'll treasure
Ought to give that sweet touch.
