Thanksgiving Memory-

Fellowship with families and friends Smells hint of mint Evergreen Cooking from the women spices So nice Pies and cakes Turkeys and ham, vegetable stock Hear the rumble and cheers from dad and all the males As they smear at the televised football game And at the table drinking first cup of seasonal eggnog Yet still smells of cornbread dressing, sweet potato pies yum!!! I touch myself to see if I have arrived Yet ever I I and ever so it was so high I am so thankful Thanksgiving 11/7/19 Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2019©
