Thankful For Friends
How thankful are we to have friends so dear.
Having the time to enjoy ourselves here.
In this busy world we take for granted.
Ties we've made the seeds we have planted.
Like the bonds we make as our friendship grows.
Branches spread to directions no one knows.
Buds are new faces from the tree we've nourished.
Blossoms bloom as our new friendships flourishes.
It takes us to places we've never known.
From one lonely sapling that we have grown.
Alone is a place that we tend to slide.
Late at night in dares we sometimes hide.
In a place where there is no sound.
Yet we strain to hear a voice not found.
Many people play a song without a melody.
Missing the notes that give us harmony.
Each one of us has a verse that's our own.
But without a choir we signal alone.
