Terror In Plain Sight

Trade center image with smoke billowing on live TV coverage, watching in terror unable to
move.
Who would do such a horrible act and Why??
With my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes, wishing to help in some way.

The unthinkable happens-the towers fall with rumbling earthquakes, dust like volcanic ash
covering all the dreams and burying the souls who could not escape.

America the brave, learned almost simultaneously that two other planes were highjacked and
the passengers slaughtered for a mad mans folly.

One plane was sacrificed to stop the lunacy. One plane hit our pentagon with rubble, blood,
bodies and debris mingling over acres of U.S. soil.

Pungent thick air, not fit for human consumption, permeates over the survivors and
consumes the weakened injured.

Survivors have permanent scars that can not heal.
America has permanent scars! Let's not forget the fight for freedom.

God bless the USA

For the fallen victims, heros, and soldiers. Remembering 9/11/2001

Nicely written reminder of the horror of the day 8 years ago. I turned on the tv to catch a break from the morning while I was waiting for you and Caleb to come for he had a doctor's appointment and there right in front of my eyes that plane went into the second twin tower. Nicely written. Mom
