Tell No One How Good You Are

Never quote your countless qualities. Howso learned and wise Or be ye otherwise, The wise know well-enough what truth is, To fools flutter off like passing breeze. _____________________________________ Words well said | 01.11.14 | Poet’s note: It is generally believed that limericks are lewd and tend to be ludicrous. If not, they are light verses of leg-pulling type and often are a rollicking great humour. While this may be true in many cases, even considering their origin, it need not be so. Here is an humble attempt to lift the status of limericks. I feel, limericks provide a compact structure to express a serious thought as well. A limerick structure as we know is of five lines, but we can also make it a one and a half limerick, or even a double one if need be. There also is some scope for certain variations in its structure.
