Sunlit days I spent on the moor Sweet Summer heather scents allure Bathing in waves on Dublin's shore Aye, Irish lore Aye, Irish lore Crumbling castles on exhibit Pricey ticket; warm day visit Guinness stout without a limit Tastes exquisite Tastes exquisite Stung by wild bees in clover leaves Winded, needed the help of sheaves Love for Ireland my heart now weaves And soon it grieves And soon it grieves Time has come for vacation's end And Summer's days with Autumn's blend When I close my eyes and pretend In dreams I wend In dreams I wend

The pic is gorgeous. When you talk of heather and moors I think of 'Wuthering Heights', although I don't think Kathy ever got bee stings. At least she never said so. I like the poem; I can really see the colors. I think you are probably proficient in every poetry form listed on PS. I also think you whip them up in about five minutes. It just isn't fair.

Thanks for liking the picture and the poem. Wuthering Heights always comes to my mind as well when I think of the moors. It's my dream to visit Ireland and Scotland. As far as how long it takes me to write...usually very little time to get initial thoughts down, but then I put them away and return to edit...exclaiming, "How could you have written something so terrible?"
