please ...
close your eyes to me
feel the melting
moonlight brush your lids with
its wan wonder ...
draw a passion dream in
your mind's eye and
press its wishes to my lips ...
talk your tastes to
me - use a honeyed tongue to
tempt the twilight, and
kill me with your
quiet questions ...
your heart will bleed its hunger
to ask what you ache
and I WILL answer ...
my hands convey
their replies - words I dare not
speak, I will write upon
your catkin skin in cursive glyphs -
the language of your fevered
flesh, caressed to bumpy
shivers in the blue nacre beams of
a languid, leafless moon ...
your body is a page, pure -
my hands and mouth, intimate
implements that write my poetry upon you -
a tactile, temporal verse of
tender intent and passionate purpose ...
please, close your eyes to
me, and let sound drown in the
mists of gloaming ...
you don't need my
voice to know the depth of
my love - three words in
your ear have not the rhythm nor
rhyme of my embrace -
so please, just take my word ...
the precious, eager, eloquent word ...
of my touch.
