Take Care of Yourself First
To take good care of yourself first
may sometimes seem a selfish act.
But there is wisdom in this thought
that makes it surely a sound fact.
You see, what good are you if when
you are run down with lack of sleep;
malnourished eating unsound food
or letting grooming problems creep?
To help a loved one or best friend
and be in shape to give your all,
you need to start with yourself first
be strong and healthy, or you'll fall.
For when you feel your best inside
your happiness you then can share
wholeheartedly to pass your strength
to those who need your help and care.
