LIKE pebbles upon a beach; my thoughts, An innumerable number of nights My feelings, devoured by emotions As hemlock I have drunk, Fear, accuses me of weakness But the last bottle of fright I Have emptied -- shadows, sunk! Complete happiness the envy of the lot; but too much glee is a single and final nail to seal fate within a coffin! O not for lack of a bulging moon, Nor vintage ways as love moves! Or yet be you long cooled deep- Delved and cleaved in earth! As all souls wear suits of skin and kiss with tender rose petal’d lips -- is the floral life of human! And as some poets drink and mull over a world most have unseen, with bubble- Eye’d staring and passion-purpled Stained mouths; This one poet and poem (as me) cannot fade far nor dissolve; like a fragile dying leaf Caught within winter’s throe! :01-14-2018:

Your reply is so kind and I am so thankful that you took time to reply to my prose. It means so much, especially since I only expect a few to understand my prose! Deeply thankful sir. ~ Phillip
