Sweetest Surrender

Rapture! Our rhythmic bodies torrid together. Quenching thirst. Together once again sweetest surrender.. Euphoria! Susan Ashley July 15, 2017 *this poem was written as a Septolet but I don't see that as a choice under poetry forms so I classified it as a free verse*

What is life.. without a little euphoria? I'm so glad you enjoyed this short passionate poem, John. It was for me, an early segue to free verse, I think. I treasure your heartwarming comments and your impressive presence here, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

A sensual and passionate experience, Susan, especially where the first stanza is concerned, and which called for an encore in the 2nd! Noticeable the connection between the opening and closing words. ~ Warm regards // paul

It's very much like a Haiku, could easily be revised into that form. If you haven't studied Haiku, you'll see what I mean if you look for it under FORMS. This packs a sensual punch, I felt it! ... CayCay

Ohh I love Haiku CayCay and I've written about nine of them here on PS. I had never written any Haiku until I started to write them here and I found that I really love the short forms! My appreciation for short forms started with Septolet and Cinquain and then Haiku.. I'm glad you felt the sensual punch of this write CayCay. It's great to know that my words inspire the intended effect... :) and thank you for your kind comment and lovely friendship.Hugs and smiles! ~Susan
