Wrote this poem today, 3/18/2024 -- the first official day of spring

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ winter fights to stay sweet spring always wins her way flowers bloomed today!

I love haikus and pondering upon them perhaps longer than I should. Yours is so hopeful and optimistic I’ll gladly linger a little longer. “flowers bloomed today!” Exclamation of fact - great ending!

The azaleas are blooming profusely, although a wee bit chilly this morning. Once M'Lady Spring puts on her flowery bonnet, Winter has to give up his hold. Sweet, she is!
