Our hearts met there, Long ago, on that spring breeze Whispering gently, sweetly Moments light, yet so vibrant Boldly dreaming, never leaving The soul alone to grow old Without the love that compares To nothing on earth – it is so rare Our hearts swelled with the feeling The trust, the longing, the passion Wonderous love – so joyful, lasting Kissing away the darkness with a smile So sweet, so mild – like the silence Yet filled with kindness and inspiration Stirring dreams to come back to life Long after their heart had seen such strife Our hearts ached for the beauty, The sigh of grace – the intimacy and praise Amazing, alive, brilliant as the starlight Covering the night in such radiant hope Silencing the doubts, the fears, the tears Bringing back the sounds of life, the love Reverberating through the tenderness Enlightening and awakening pretty serenity Our hearts knew the love that comes alive Inside the ones who believe, who agree To be a part of the connection, the home Where two can become one, a bond More powerful than the sun or the stars Clear and sparkling with wisdom, thriving On the remembrance of such giving This was the moment, this was the hope That brought my heart to believe In the truth of happiness, the gift of joy The love that only belongs to the ones Who are willing to give without conditions To live without apprehension… to love Without limits, with a love that is endless A love that is forever, always, abiding Inside those who know that this love is life This love is the reason that we were given These moments in this place… Where once there was a love – a love That taught the heart poetry and promised The soul to never let go of the feeling That means God has given His gift to these Two who know the meaning of empathy!
