Swan On a Lake
delicate arched neck
gracefulness beyond compare
she uplifted the lake
I watched entranced
had never seen such beauty
a contrast to the dark murky water
announcing spring
she began to groom
every movement a ballet
for the first time
I understood the term
swan lake
