Supper Could Be a Salad

The Pollyanna who lives inside my soul Decides we will eat healthier now starting today Fruits and vegetables, mostly vegetables, she decrees. I agree with no sense of honor or commitment. Supper could be a salad. I stare at the lettuce a bit. Salads are a lot of work, all that cutting and chopping. I settle for a bag of salted wavy potato chips And pick up the French dip since it has onions.

Sounds oh so familiar to me, Caren. Although sometimes dinner is everything I can find to chop up and throw on the plate...a monstrous salad.

Caren, Oh, such a truth in your verse. You're a woman who knows bad from good... for me onion dip is anti-COVID. -Richard
