Sunshine Revives My Mood

A bad day, a death, feelings of despair No one can cheer me with food or words I go outside to sit in the sun. She warms me, embraces me, loves me In silence, she is my comfort blanket She lulls me to sleep, I lie down in the grass, Shade my eyes, because she is bright She assures me and reassures me. Her vitamin D gives me a feeling of peace I fall asleep, feeling loved. After my nap I can go back inside I am replenished, refreshed, like a new daisy Who has just pushed out of the ground I feel my petals and they are strong I can face death now, and the day has turned I eat the comfort foods brought to us by our neighbors

Your metaphor is precious, Caren. Or, is it a simile? I can never keep those two straight. Ah, I love the sun, too. Can't get enough of it.

I wish I would have noticed I had accidentally said Vitamin C when I mean Vitamin D - I fixed it now.
