Sunset's Promise
Within the solitude of dusk,
that gentle hush between day and night,
on my porch I sit, to drink in the sunset.
Soothing my parched soul of the day's strife.
Hues on a star chased canvas,
wrap the sky in robes of flowing pink silk.
With my every breath, colors melt,
to slowly dip into the distant ocean.
It's peaceful radiance speaks, as if to say;
"The night will not exist for eternity."
I feel a love envelop and reassure,
that a new sunset awaits me tomorrow.
