Sunset

Days and nights felt the same. As if nothing really changed. The mornings were spent the same way as I used too. But sunsets were different and felt incomplete. For once there were two shadows, two souls sitting on the edge and spoke of the promises and dreams. The sun as our witness, of an undying fire. And now there's nothing... just a distant memory. Look here my dear, my hopes for us is as numerous as the grains of sand, though washed away by the waves but has always returned... For it's meant to be here and it's not going to disappear. Sometimes, we found solace in loneliness. That I have come to know you even more, in your absence. That once, love was only a friend but now my lover. Here I stand, as I watch you walk towards me as if you were real.. I make you real. That I am staring out the ocean and I know you are too. For I am still holding on to something and there's no way to let it go. That maybe someday the love that was lost will find it's way back home... and both of us will be back at a place we once loved and see the fire rise again from the depths of the sea.
