When I was just a little girl, Grandma, she made cookies. I watched her can things in a jar, and make bread from homemade dough. When I was just a little girl, Grandpa, he worked on mowers. He taught me all about small engines, and to ride a horse better than Tim. (my older brother) We went to church on Sunday. When I was just a young girl, Grandma, she made dresses. I watched her hem and darn, and perform real, tree magic! (grafting) When I was just a young girl, Grandpa worked on tractors. He taught me all about bugs, and to look for snakes in the garden. We went to church on Sunday. When I had come of age, Grandma, she made quilts. I watched her struggle all the time, but I learned, what living was about. When I had come of age, Grandpa had gone home. He went to be with Jesus, yet I know, we are not alone. We still go to church on Sunday.

As kids we need to hang on to something worthwhile, that stays. The rest rarely has the same longevity. Hope you have a truly blessed day. Ty for the comments. Ann

My best memories are my grandparents. I pray everyone has a set even a little bit like mine. The rest, not at all. But for them, the basis for all heroes in my life, thereafter. Ann

How come such a sunny Sunday inspired me to write my own, a gloomy one? The inspiration is a true walker-by-itself) Rays of love.

Just a few moments captured like pearls in shells, gathered and put on a string. So glad you enjoyed. Ann

Thank you so kindly. I miss them so much. We should all be blessed with incredible grandparents. They have so much more patience than parents, busy trying just to feed their families. Hugs Ann
