Summer's Poetess

Summer's Poetess Oh~~my dear poetess! Feeling like toast in her house. It's 102 degrees outside~ Your fellow Poetess, in AC inside, doth hide! Her feet swell in abominable heat. She needs a new pair of feet! The "Call to Life" poem looks now like a blog. I feel as a worn out, old frog. Seven more days of heat to go! Am ready for Christmas and nice, sparkling snow!                         August 16, 2020              7am PST

Hi Pangie, I tell you, late twenties and I am about dropping, I couldn't stand this heat you write of. I would be in real trouble. Used to things more cooler in Scotland, especially today. I shall send you some cool over. I do love snow, I always wait in hope for it to come. Take care. Have a wonderful Monday. Blessings and huGS....Mike.

Hee.o Mike in Scotland. Sounds wonderful where you abide!. No snow here but can go to Lake Tahoe 10 Miles from me. I am no snow bunny. I grew up in Chicago and that was enough. San Francisco is much cooler but not safe to live there, I did in the 70s,, it was heaven on earth. Many of my older Poems are about The City. Quite scenic. No more~ now a tent city...as A lid I loved the first snow.magic PIWER from God. Pangiexx

What can I say? Chicago is NOT sweltering this August, for the most part, for a change... Hope that when the heat wave ends out there, that things will moderate for the entire rest of the year. Hang in there, Pangie!! Patience and Prayers, Gershon

Indeed...once these heat wave passes, weather is wonderful the rest of the year. No snow, no gray skies,no"can't start the car", no thunder, Bo lightening...Maria misses that, not me. No tree here is ever bare. Oranges in backyard, roses in front. Think I will stay here and get through the next two weels. I can handle it. Pangie.

Hello Panagiota, 102 degrees outside! Wow! That is way too hot for me. It is a good thing you have AC. In heat like that you can not do much of anything. hugs Darlene xxxx-oooo.

Other Power companies turn off whole cities at a time! 40 cities had NO AC yesterday. And where to go when Governor Goofy has restaurants, bars hair salons, exercise places, and all pools closed? Pangiexx

Hello Panagiota,I could not take heat like that. It makes sense to me to lower the AC to prevent a power failure. Drink a lot of cold drinks. Hugs Darlene xxxx-oooo.

Wish you were right about the AC in this weather. Even though the entire house has AC...the Power company turns down the POwer on the hottest days to prevent a blackout, see my comments to Silent One))) today will be 111 by 5" that means 85 inside, way too hot...pagiexx

That's sweater weather for us, 117 yesterday:) -- though I do realized you get a lot more humidity than we do, which can make it unbearable. Hang in there, Joe.

Prince De Mino. Ah, will be 111 today, humidity here s 44per cent, but we are mostly very dry here, Florida and Chicago and Wisconsin have very high humidity. I am nowhere near the ocean or any lake. I have been to AZ..love AZ but the heat nearly killed me. San Diego..that's humid. Nowhere near it. Panting Pangie xxx

Silent..we have central AC in the house plus 9 Fans running all the time in this heat. The POWER company lowers the power, however. So even with AC, it gets hot. It will be 111 by 5 pm here in CA. Noon will be 100. And 109 tomorrow.ouch. Thanks for thinking of me, sweet thing! )) Pangie xx
