Summer's Last Kiss

Autumn licks the trees with greed, leaving crimson stains. Soft daylight quickly recedes, to paint the dusk champagne. Granny apples, blushed with red, laden the old tree. Ripe sunflowers bow their heads, heavy now with seed. Petals fade and laze away, from the rose and vines. All embrace Summer's last kiss, 'neath a tint of rime.
