Summer Rispetto
The perky colorful flowers welcome me,
roses gone but crepe myrtle is a delight.
Green leaves cover the sky in honor of thee,
A gentle glance fills me with instant delight.
Butterflies adorn the garden, ever wee.
Cardinals and wrens are too happy to take flight.
God's work in fruition takes my breath away,
Cone flowers and marigolds are here to stay.
