I trace a pour along the field of woe As ireful winds gush onto rainfall’s doom; Boughs curling wet lobes; these eyes cast below On a marble stone where tears are endured : My heart begins to pray for summer’s glow To find relief from deep mist now obscured... Till heaven opens golden night, widespread Allowing hours with my child in graveyard’s bed. Contest of Dale Gregory Cozart: SUMMER RAIN STORM 9/3/2017

Interesting I stopped here on my journey, Nette...Pop has been gone 11 yrs this Sept. 8th...Mom & I were discussing via phone a few moments ago how we would remember him...a visit to mass, breakfast at his favorite restaurant and visit to his gravestone in our national veterans cemetery...thank you for this tribute poem!

Nette, this is an awesome Ottava Rima my friend! You have surely delighted me to no end by your incredible skill and creative words with this amazing poem! By the way, I'm still not healed yet my friend. I still have some pain, and things are looking good, but it's not healed just yet! It will take another 11 weeks for me to get back to normal! I just have some reading and writing privileges, but only for so long as it hurts my back to be on the computer (looking down) Awesome write, Great Work!

Hi nette--you always write such poetic lines--a lovely rhythmic creation. Do I sense a grief at the ending? Cheering for you to win!
