Summer Dreamer
SUMMER DREAMER
Quiet flows the river in scorching summer
Water carries the tears of the melted glacier
Shadows of tree rows on the bank simmer
Scoured by the hot air rising up thinner.
The colder sun setting in the twilight hour
Paints lively pattern on water in warm color
To the sea waiting near it’s a gift from the river
For storing the story of beautiful land forever.
In moonlit night the flair of stardust glamour
Flows on rippled water sparkling with shimmer
On your fluid face the flakes of grace glimmer
Turning into a river I’d flood you in midsummer.
The dawn breeze whispers asking have I seen her
She’s always here in my heart for I’m a dreamer.
