Summer Breeze
Oh, let the summer breeze blow soft
upon my granite stone
And tell her where they buried me
Alone, my God, alone
My last thought in this cold cold world
Was Summer in her arms
And then the world crashed in on me
The bullets came in swarms
Oh, bury me where breezes play
To cool the Summer's endless day
Then tell her where I lie in rest
And that her love was my request
Oh, let the Summer breeze blow soft
Across this ancient hill
Walk quietly o'er me I will hear
Your tears fall gently still
Think not of war, the price we paid,
But Summers that we had
When sails would catch the wind and float
And naught we knew was sad
Oh, bury me where breezes play
To cool the Summer's endless day
Then tell her where I lie in rest
And that her love was my request
