A bloom of summer beauty is a tree.
Canopy of green
in warn winds serene
A vast expanse of leaves waving like sea
revealing inside
if new life abides.
This thing of lovely on a summer’s day,
is where the sunlight shadows dance and play.
In Fall the Summer beauty was still gold.
Quite costly and dear
from years standing here.
In changing seasons of warm winds and cold
no part of it died
withered up or dried.
To think this tall tree started out as seed
reached up toward sun
in natural need
and grew so inner beauty could be freed.
