*Inspired by photo The bird stands alone, its shadow in the sand What is in its mind, we can't understand Alone on the beach, with no-one around Surrounded by color and the ocean's sound Beyond the waves, the sun sets for the day The bird watches in silence with nothing to say Sometimes beauty can silence us all As bright stunning sights do enthrall Heidi Sands 5/9/18 Placed 2nd in the Standard contest 195.
