Stuck In the Snow
I was snuggled 'tween the bosoms of my mother
Stuck in the snow as the whirling wind blows
Trapped inside the car, us...alone
My mom's car would not start
The battery died or it must have been frozen
If I recall, I was just four years old
I remember that day well...I was very cold
The wrong day to shop- mother had chosen
We were at our towns Mini-Mart
We had no telephone
Shivering still- she found a way to warm my toes
Old socks, must have been left by my brother
I knew mom would warm me...one way or another
Wiping the boogers dripping from my nose
My dad, worked late; asleep at home
Never were they apart
He was too tired to shop with us...I suppos'n
It's been so long, since this story's been told
