in hindsight how trivial it seems workaholic’s constant judging the need to be in control striving for lofty standards of overpriced perfection the wasted opportunities to bond with family and friends and forge lasting memories missed and gone with the wind no second chances or redos time never more precious life’s a series of new beginnings it’s said of turning pages and starting over so now’s come the time to focus on myself to drop the act and renovate my inner home where I’ll retire and spend my life what’s left the time is now to gather and unclutter decide what’s of value and truly will to treasure no time like now to focus on the gallery of my heart AP: 2nd place 2021, Honorable Mention 2021 Submitted on October 22, 2020 for contest COMPLETELY YOUR CHOICE (31) sponsored by BRIAN STRAND Originally posted on October 13, 2018

I think we do put ourselves under un- necessary stress at times Line - and what for it often doesn't make any difference to the outcome:-( The final stanza hits home hard:-( My hubbies cancer surgery has made us re evaluate our lives and we know how lucky we truly are it was caught early, not everyone is so fortunate:-( hugs jan xx
