Strands

Inspired by: The Eye of the Lord (1870) painting by Georgiana Houghton. The painting should accompany the words
My eyes are heavy As if covered by a film Layer upon layer Of my life And the mistakes That have been made To age Takes away second chances Wearies the bones No matter This taint and stain colours My view The weight of the world And the vastness of the ocean Impedes my ability to draw breath Was I ever just a single strand That wafted in the breeze Unhurried and unhindered

Some deeply pessimistic thoughts here about life and the point of it all. Or am I failing to hear a more optimistic and profound message? I shall have to ponder!

Don't worry. This was completely evoked from the painting!
