Strand Theater
Strand theater those days
of sitting inside that dark
place, with another world
up on the screen is such
ages away from me now.
From 1952-56 you
were where I spent my
summer days, as old shep
my favorite dog of all time
waited so patently for me.
High Noon, It Came from Outer Space,
Them, Shane and Invaders From Mars,
were just a few of the
great movies I saw there,
for the price of a dime
and double feature Even.
My world of trouble was
left outside when I
came into that dark movie
house of so
long ago.
Loved those movie posters
in the lobby of coming movies
and loved the memories you
gave a young boy and a
old man.
