Straight To the Heart of You
The sun beats down
Love runs wild
Careless and free
No sense of direction
No care in the world
Like a playful child at the beach
Full of wonder and joy
Skies could turn gray
Won't ruin their day
Won't change their journey
A wild love young and free
Caressed by the hand of God
Challenges a stray
I wish to be a child of love
Taken as me
Accepted as such
Don't need your hate
Don't want your anger
I want to forever be at that beach
As a child with a spirit of grace
Free to see the bright blue ocean
To touch its warm water
Watch its waves with an amazement
Like no other
Live as that child
Always remembering what is most important
The love of my family and the drive of my friends.
I want to be the child in all of you
Running free
Taking the wind as my portal straight to the heart of you.
