Storms and Toothache

Right now, I'm sat sideways in a big leather armchair Of a type I'd like to own In a thinking space There's a storm outside But the sun streamed through the windows The dog has rearranged his blankets Everybody loves each other I have a cold but wearing fluffy pyjamas & slippers My wisdom tooth has done a bit of damage but I'm on a salt water gargle regime Nothing is misaligned on this day Despite all the odd angles there could be I'll tell everyone here of my revelation (Maybe the dog first, see if he invests) The storm broke a lot of trees in the forest yesterday But there's still a forest And I don't need to worry about tying my thoughts together in pretty packages Because today is forgiving

It sounds like a good day in spite of the tooth. Take it easy.

The storm has passed Dilly, I do love the stoic imagery of the forest still being there, even if a few trees fell, I was out with the dog earlier and the park was strewn with broken branches, sounds like a pyjamas and hot whiskey day, only for the toothache and cold of course lol! You paint quite a picture, cheers David

A very teeny sliver, weather permitting, be great if it you can discern a little slice or the spectacle, good luck!

We were up and out early, I just was up at 6 so I could lounge in a variety of chairs first. I don't have a drop of whisky here, so will try black heart. Think my cold has gone too and the wisdom tooth has settled down with the fancy Welsh sea salt I've been gargling with. I hear I might see a teeny bit of the eclipse (partial) tomorrow - I'm doubting it but I might have a go since I'm surrounded by coast.

Thanks - it's possibly because I knew and know very little about actual poetry :)
