Still the Same

lucky at the casino, lucky with the draw the slot kicks out the ticket printed with it all I look at my winnings, it not close to being last call but I knew your were one gamble that never would pay off moving around from game to game looking for the next hit bells are going off all around inviting me to sit others look over my shoulder close enough to spit watching me and how I play this game that's not legit it is like what Seger says when he sings I'm still the same and for just a little while I'm caught up in the game there's an eight hundred number for standing too close to the flame it's knowing what to hold on to and when to walk away always lucky with the cards but not so much with love you just can't beat the excitement of the queen of hearts I could read you like my hand right from the very start always knew your were one gamble that never would pay off
