Stealing Time

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"

                                           John Ruskin, 1853

Mom plants seeds out back. Cat laps up her milk. Father on the porch reads his morning news, while Sis and I plan juvenile pranks. A Saturday at home; then. . . Time, unbridled, brings us to the now. Our flashbacks are the fragments that we stole.

YES! A tight and tidy piece. Loved, especially, the last three lines. The play with the last words ..then...now. There was a pretty cheesy movie years ago...oh what was it...Bruce Willis...hmmm....Oh, yeah, Armegedon (ya, I know I spelled it wrong ;-) ) One of the last scenes, the character is about to die in a BIG way, and he has flashbacks of his life. All of his daughter, actually. All those precious moments, those mundane but unequal snapshots... Now, I AM rambling... Congrats Cyndi (TIRED)
