Stealing Time
"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"
John Ruskin, 1853
Mom
plants seeds
out back. Cat
laps up her milk.
Father on the porch
reads his morning news, while
Sis and I plan juvenile
pranks. A Saturday at home; then. . .
Time, unbridled, brings us to the now.
Our flashbacks are the fragments that we stole.
