~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Surrounding my dreams, softly flowing waters
Soothing as the hope that bleeds
Liquid gentle, lulling my life to silence, in peace,
Shadows colored in music, like waves,
Graceful, reflecting the songs that grieve,
In brilliant sunsets, tangerine and buttery yellow,
Flaming crimson alive with joys that burn
Away the moments, breathless
As the guitar who trembles, a rhythm
Flowing from its quest, insight into the prose
Playing like winds through the silence,
Abiding on the spirit, drifting
Erasing the fears, the tears, the years…
Wherever there is music, stirring the expectations,
Quivering with exhilaration,
Prospects falling from the wisdoms of selflessness,
Wisdoms far more healing than the medication
Pills, measured by illusions, greed,
Doctors who carefully kiss away the disease
By poking and prodding through the malady,
Drifting on prescribed notions, alibis, drugs
Who oblige the urgency of the illness,
Seek the treatment in the unpretentiousness,
Poetry in tablet form, or possibly – the prescription
For something more…
The wind whistles over my head, inviting me,
With its gusts twisting like soft flesh,
Snaking the trails, the leaves whispering on the edges
Of forever blue, the horizon colored in summer’s
Beautiful, highlighting the wonders felt by those,
Who see beyond the gales,
Into the heavens, where hope lives outside the lines,
Traveling on the mist of a mourning song,
Dawn cutting through the haze, a fog in the maze,
Delicate, flowing in feathery truths,
Embracing the stars who have yet to fall…
Stars, glistening in the night – providing the gentlest lights,
Adoring as the glimpses, the insight,
Into the skies where hope never hides – its secrets like
The most surreal blessing, softly asking,
Where is the moon when the stars just keep on knowing,
Her light’s easy glowing, pouring over the hills,
Triumphant and real, never let go of the song she instills,
With her indulgent verse, her tender gift…
Lyrics, unknown to most…
Resonate in the peace that covers our soul,
When she caresses the thoughts, the feelings,
With her endless breathing… breathing
While hearts melt at the honeyed scent of her kindness,
The melody of light falling over the night,
Breathing a prayer that only a star could compose,
A prayer that only the heart could ever hope for,
A prayer – because, in three days, He arose!
