This has a lyrical cadence to it and i love the opening lines the most how creatively youve started in a unique manner, i love the questioning too, gives an introspective and evocative touch to your thoughts expressed eloquently. Great use of the prompt. I love how it ends too. Resonates with me too. Soul hitting write. Congratulations on your well deserved win

Haha feels appropriate if I was aiming for the stars :) I struggled to write anything coherent (I kept starting poems that didn't go anywhere) then it just bounced out in 20 minutes almost fully formed (then 30 minutes of tweaks I suppose). I intended to write something a bit more akin to the sponsors style but this appeared instead. Thank you for your vote of confidence xxx

I don't know what contest this is for but I sincerely hope I have not also entered it... WOW... just wow. This is giving me the confidence to write about a similar subject, which I so often approach and then quickly retreat from. Brava! No notes :D

There is zero doubt you'll ace it as your writing is spectacular (Stars of Clarity - any form is the contest but free verse preferred) I'm not sure how I've manage a capitalised WOW but I enjoyed it :) I hope this one reads like it plays in my head - although even I can't picture the dance partner but I presume no one can :) thank you - another comment to keep x
