Stars Are Our Link-Answer Me
contest's poem
I watch the splendor of a shooting star
and breathe the beauty of a hum-guitar
her light
in flight
is like a million lanterns on a cooling night
I dream awhile beneath the tarp of heaven
then close my eyes & slowly count to seven
I wish in true
for souls renew
and soon I'm covered in night's dew
I loose the mind and pry his realm
it's an expedience of God's mystic dream
when free
I see
the beauty of his creation for all eternity
I watch the splendor of a bird in flight
and breathe the beauty of a blessed night
his wings
they sing
to me of freedom, and all a night can bring
If only we can learn to sing
like a Cardinal on a string
response poem
To see creation from afar
its subtle tails from flaming star
its burning flight
sky so bright
disappears in brilliant white
A wistful dream beneath round sky
with deeper breathe from endless sigh
truth it tends
soul it mends
night engulfs, dreams it sends
Reasons sought for life that's sown
beautiful soul you've never owned
understand
without demand
creation's born from spiritual hand
To see the splendor of Angel's wings
sacred night that always sings
to free your soul from its earthly belt
like a night birds song your heart has felt
