my feet hardly touch the earth
I separate the hardness of the ground
with the lightness of the flowers
the task at hand is so free!
I gather, walk amongst the flowers;
taking them with me
imbibing all that is delicate from
each petal and leaf
my clothes slip away from my skin;
as shoulder is revealed, the breeze
gently strokes as I run my fingers through
swaying stems
I am in a moment
caught in the gaze of love
the line of my neck and back seen
through eyes that unequivocally adore
a gaze that washes over me
like the breeze
bathing me in reflected beauty
that transcends my own
time, attention, colour and detail given
and placed upon the wall
so that I may see myself as you see me
protected from the hardness of the ground
by the softness of your brush strokes
so I offer you thanks
you are bemused by my gesture
beauty lives here, in this moment
and I am part of it
