Seven-Ten
Created by Emile J. Pinet, (Seven-Ten), (must be centered). There should be a distinctive pattern. Do not use blank spaces to create shape, use words. A non rhyme, twenty two line verse poem with (190 Syllables)- 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7 10 10 10 7 7
No season's as loved as Spring;
though Autumn's a close second.
Spring begins with warm winds melting the snow,
a bright golden sun shining in blue skies,
and an earthy fragrance greeting each breath.
Icicles fast melt away,
disappearing drip by drip.
Wrapped within a blanket of warm, moist air,
tulips and daffodils sprout through the snow,
although the snowdrops are the first to show.
As the ice starts to break free,
clogged rivers flow to the sea.
And migrating flocks of geese honk in flight,
signaling they've begun their journey home,
while the robin redbreast hunts for dewworms.
Soon, wildflowers scent the air,
and color spreads everywhere.
For cerulean skies gather white clouds,
leafy canopies attract sweet songbirds
and new grasses weave a carpet of green.
April rains are the fuel
that fuel life's renewal.
