Spring Stream
SPRING STREAM
Sun be-gifts his daughter running through the morning cold :
Her fresh-washed charm is a girl in her first dress of spring.
Dawn draws the purple veil from the sky, flooding the stream with gold,
And diamonds of the first water, urging her to laugh and dance and swing.
Free at last to run on her joyful way to the ocean, she starts to sing.
