desperately in love a song she sings,
for handsome valentine, rejoicing spring !
is he really aware,
breathtaking passion so rare,
how thrilled she is like a bird spreading wings !

Dear sweet Mala, this is such a lovely limerick. I love the title too. ‘ like a bird spreading wings’ is such a beautiful image of the heart soaring when in love. Such a joy to read.
